FAQ & trust

Questions, answered

How OpsBrief catches operational risk, verifies sources, and protects your data.

Is this just another AI summarizer?

No. OpsBrief is operational software, not a generic summary tool. It extracts structured operational events, detects exceptions and risks, proposes action items with owners and due dates, tracks unresolved issues across days, and keeps a source reference for every item so you can verify it.

What sources can it read?

OpsBrief supports emails, daily report and PDF text, spreadsheet rows, Slack-style messages, and CRM-style activity updates through pluggable connectors. The product is built so new integrations can be added cleanly, and we prefer read-only access wherever possible.

How does it avoid missing something important?

Low-confidence or ambiguous items are flagged “needs review” rather than dropped. Exceptions are always surfaced, unresolved issues carry forward until closed, every brief keeps an audit trail of exactly which inputs it used, and you can inspect the raw inputs behind any item.

Can I trust what it tells me?

Every line in the brief links back to its source — the email, message, report, or spreadsheet row it came from. The system also notes its confidence, so you always know what to verify before acting.

Which industries do you support?

Hotels, property management, contractors, agencies, and clinics each have a tailored template. We start deepest with hotels and tune the others to your operation during onboarding. Other service businesses with daily reports, emails, or spreadsheets fit well too.

How is my data handled?

Secrets and credentials live in environment variables and managed parameter storage, never in code. We avoid logging full sensitive customer data, prefer read-only integrations, and keep an auditable record of what each brief used. See the trust & safety section for production hardening details.

How long does setup take?

A basic brief from a few sources can be running in days. Done-for-you onboarding — where we connect your sources and tune the extraction rules to your operation — typically takes one to two weeks.

Trust & safety

Your data, handled with care

Secrets stay in the environment

API keys and credentials are read from environment variables and managed parameter storage — never hardcoded or committed.

Read-only by preference

Wherever an integration allows it, OpsBrief reads your data rather than modifying it, reducing the blast radius of any mistake.

Minimal sensitive logging

The system is designed to avoid logging full sensitive customer data, capturing only what is needed to operate and debug.

Verifiable and auditable

Every brief keeps an audit trail of which inputs it used, and every item links to its source so your team can verify before acting.
